Resurrection Sunday

In this sermon by Pr. Sam, in conjunction with Easter Day, some of the points/reflections which enlightened me are explained below:-

1 Cor 15:12-20
- 6 things that would be in shambles if Christ did NOT rise from the dead

(i)verse 14:-
14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.

This verse state that what we are here now preaching are in vain if He has not been resurrected from dead.

(ii)verse 14:-
14And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.

Apart from this, if He has not been raised from dead, our faith brothers and sisters now are in vain.

(iii) verse 15:-
15More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised.

We are misrepresentating God and telling the lies. The prophecy is not fulfilled and our sins are not redeemed either.

(iv)verse 17:-
17And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.

The power of sin is still strong. The sting of sin still so powerful. And our faith is futile.

(v)verse 18:-
18Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost.

Those who have asleep/in circle of Christ are perished.

(vi)verse 19:-
19If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.

Finally, what we are doing are of all men most to be pitied. Why?Because He did not rise,
so that we no hope in Him...what is our life?

This 6 core points therefore to the importance of Jesus that came to die for us and resurrect from death.

Resurrection from first search of Google(www.google.com) is defined as:-

The rising of Christ from the dead; the rising again of all the dead at the day of the final judgment

In other words we interprets it as from despair to joy.

This situation is equivalent of the famous story of Waterloo War.

Pr. Sam also stressed out that we can

Live for 40 days if abstained from FOOD
Live for 08 days if abstained from DRINK
Live for 04 minutes if abstained from OXYGEN(02)
But we can Live for few seconds if abstained from HOPE

Without HOPE, we have nothing to Live for..we have nothing...we have no dreams...nothing at all..our Life is EMPTY

There are 4 kinds of HOPE highlighted in the Bible
i) Good Hope
2Thes 2:16-17

16May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope,
17encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

ii) Living Hope
1Peter 1:3-4

3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you,

iii) Patient Hope
1 Thes 1:3

3We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

iv) Hope and Future Hope
Jeremiah 29:11

This verse is the famous verse in the Bible and always been highlighted.

11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

This is the ultimate hope and not only that, God provides future for us..a GOOD one in His will.

Back to the all 4 hopes highlighted above, what is Living hope?
Its a hope through resurrection of Lord
And Living hope in my lives no matter how much trials and tribulations in our daily lives.

Pr Sam also highlighted that those that are discouraged and face alot of trouble in lives may refer to the book of 1 Peter.

Some of the other verses which enlightened me are:-
1 Peter1:3-5
1 Peter4:14
Luke 24:13

Thanks for the Bible Gateway.com for providing the Bible verse which simplifies my blogging time for those verses :D

In this service even though I am doing Usher but somehow the words manage to touch me and to see things at different perspective. In another note, I am grateful and happy to meet Mr. Cheah again after met him last week over the last weekend service at my church in my hometown. His work touched me especially in involvement in Vietnamese works in Penang.

Till then for this post...I need to get my dinner ready :D

Moody moody and I think of Him

Been in moody mood lately...

One of the reason cannot get the .NET to install properly in my PC...so frustated and dissapointed.

Just talked to my parents on the phone...they're doing fine and normal as before...Glad to hear that...and a few moments, I just suddenly moved to play the mp3 "Shout to the Lord"When I'm listening, I can't stop playing repeatedly..it was so full of meaning and truth..

And then I played another one.."I Run To You"...this was more inspirational and gives me some hope and light to shed on my life...

Below are the lyrics...

I Will Run To You

Your eye is on the sparrow
And Your hand, it comforts me
From the ends of the Earth to the depth of my heart
Let Your mercy and strength be seen

You call me to Your purpose
As angels understand
For Your glory, may You draw all men
As Your love and grace demand
And I will run to YouTo Your words of truth
Not by might, not by power
But by the spirit of God
Yes I will run the race
'Till I see Your face
Oh let me live in the glory of Your grace

Well, need to pen off....last week was a crazy week for me at work. Rushing for completing the Beta Test. Tomorrow comes Monday....another week of new challenge for me:)I believe and Trust in Him that He is going to guide me smoothly for the new week!Amen..
