Today's Pr Sam was not able to make it for tonight's service as he is away to LAP Mission Trip at Kuching,S'wak.
But Pastor Hok Aun from RGB church gave a wonderful sermon on our dream.
Each and every one of us either
1) Have our own dream and fulfill them
OR
2) Live up to other people's dream.
But did not even think to pursue God's dream for us.
In Bible book of Jeremiah 29:11 says that
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
This is so true that even for us normally we dont follow His way...we think that by our own strength we have our dream.
In Numbers 13:33 it talks about the story of Caleb and Joshua (Joshua 14:7) where Caleb has been sent to the promised land and find out what is about that land and feedback to Moses. He gave a possitive result even though they are giants at that land.
Caleb at that time was 40 years old. He hold the God's dream to conquer the land until 85 years old.And God indeed promised his the land that He is giving to Caleb.
We can always relaize our dreams by:-
i)Constructive discontentment
Normally people will tend to see things and content with what they have only. But for Caleb, he is not content with the current situation. He dares to make the changes around him.
ii)Dream Right, Dream Big
God often speak to us but we always said that we could not hear us ..why?
Because we are too obsessed with worldly things..We tend to hear from TV, Radio, songs....and all other media entertainment yet we have little time for God.
There's one joke btw a pastor and congregation...
It is a normal routine where
Pr:The Lord be With You
Congregation:And also with you.
When one day Pastor is having problem with the speaker that morning. He went to the pulpit and spoke
Pr:There is something wrong with the speaker
Congregation:And also with you.
So, we are often so blinfolded with the same routine without listening to God's word that want to speak to our heart. We must train to listen to the voices. How?We need practise definitely.
If we follow our dreams, we can have fulfilment to our lives.
iii)Wake Up & Work
Giants to Fight:-1)Giant of Opposition
-Never take things as negative
2)Giant of Failure
-Never take things as failure
3)Giant of Laziness
God always give us strength and we need to do something out of it instead of sit back.
Conclusion, God has its purpose in our life...
So,can anyone answer What is God's dream for me(you) now?
